Sup everybody,
We are coming up on the one week anniversary of Bestseller, which if you haven’t checked out yet, can be streamed on Spotify, Apple Music, and uh, probably all the other weird ones I think. Or you can download it for free off Bandcamp. There’s also a limited physical run of CD Digipaks which you can buy directly from us, here’s what they look like:
A huge thanks as always to Alex Gowing, who’s done the layout for every 1WT physical release to date. If you’d like a copy, email either oneweirdtrickrecs@gmail.com or allhitsongs111@gmail.com, or text/DM me if that’s esaier. They’re $12 each, though if you’re outside the US I’d have to figure out additional shipping charges. Venmo is preferred, but I think I have Zelle too. I can’t do PayPal, since much like Instagram did to Miracle Sweepstakes, whatever dystopian moderating robots they employ there decided to inexplicably ban me. I didn’t even get to do any cool money fraud!
The album is also live on Nina Protocol, where we’re up for their Community Pick of the week. If you click here, and then click the grey star at the top right of the page, that’s 1 vote for us, and if we get the most votes, they write about the album. It looks like we’re currently in second place, so a few crucial votes could make all the difference…
We’ve also got some clips from Annie of last Friday’s release show. Ellie Shannon, Smooth Weirdos and Big Scary Indian were all great, and for our part, I think it might have been the most rockin’ Hit set to date. We played half Bestseller tracks, and half TBD ones. Here’s a clip of “Nu Jangle”:
And here’s a little snippet of “The Spot”:
As for newer stuff, here’s the midsection of “HFF”:
And here, in almost its entirety, is another one called “Basal”:
Because I’m a sicko, I brought my laptop to project a stream of Game 1 of the World Series in the Unruly Collective backyard space during the show.
As we finished our set I looked at my phone and saw that it was 11:37 PM— seven minutes past the hard 11:30 curfew. But we got the vaunted “one more song” chant, and Hillary who runs the space OK’d us playing another. Little did I know that on the other side of the country, at 8:37 PM Pacific Time, something extremely unchill happened. I believe Einstein called this “spooky action at a distance.” But as the saying goes, that’s baseball, Suzyn.
KEEP POUNDIN’,
Craig
