Sup everybody,
This Saturday (June 29) Miracle Sweepstakes is playing a last minute show at Sleepwalk (251 Bushwick Ave) with Castrated Caligula and Jeremy Good Job. You can get tix here, show starts at 7 PM and will wrap by 10.
Longtime subscribers will remember Sleepwalk as the famous site of the “Bad Bee” video release show, where we didn’t play “Bad Bee” because we were premiering the video, and we didn’t premiere the video because they didn’t have wi-fi or something.
To the unknowing eye, the flyer might look like a surreal depiction of some children standing near a breaching orca. But, like Van Gogh (thhh) before me, I only work from nature:
Very few people know this but in the ‘90s it was down to me and one other guy for who was gonna get the gig of second guitarist in Oasis. I’ll never forget Noel saying, “look, we kin‘av Bonehead or we kin‘av Fatso, we con’av fookin’ Bonehead an’ Fatso, this ain’t the bloody freakshow, mate.” Unfortunately, they went with Bonehead. But I was young at the time, so it was better that stardom waited for another day, even if I already exuded it.
This past Sunday, Hit played at Threes Brewing, in what was our quietest set since at least the time we played the tiny room at Rockwood Music Hall. Here are a pair of clips, where you can track how weird the music is through the reactions of this one couple in the front.
Happily jangling:
Bemused by the chaos:
Word on the street is we may finally finish mixing the album we started recording three years ago. Until then..
Keep Poundin’,
Craig
