Sup everybody,
The next Hit show is Tuesday, October 27th at the Gutter in Williamsburg (200 N 14th St). It’s an OWL Presents show, with a stacked bill featuring the Wants, Kolb, and Big Band. Not only is this going to be FULL BAND Hit, but we’re trying a new configuration with Charles on baritone guitar. Where else are you gonna see a power trio doing messed up yet tuneful noise rock with a 12-string/bari/drums lineup? Very few places. Doors are at 7 PM, music starts at 8 sharp and we’re on second. This is definitely a can’t miss gig, and we’ll be playing — to some extent, reinterpreting — favorites and deep cuts alike from the forthcoming new album, plus an oldie from the last one. We won’t be playing this song, but as a token of appreciation to the legions of 1WT subscribers out there, here’s a clip of me trying out a brand new one called “Baudier” at the solo Hit show I played last month:
It was a fun show, I got a pretty good response and was separately told that I reminded someone of The Mollusk by Ween, and that I reminded someone else of “Ween’s early shit.” That’s most of Ween. Anyways, hope to see you at the end of the month!
